Beats N Tunes is back again after 4 years and is all set to host Ganga-Cauvery, a jugalbandhi of Hindustani and Carnatic Music on 20th July 2024 at the Al Thuraya Hall in Pullman Hotels and Resorts, West Bay in Doha.
President of India awardee, Purbayan Chatterjee who is India’s leading Sitar maestro will join with Ambi Subramaniam, who is hailed as "the new king of Indian classical violin" and “India’s Itzhak Pearlmann”
Purbayan specializes in building bridges between different world genres and leads the band “Classicool”. He has several international albums to his credit which have topped the charts and are well recognized across the world. He has performed in all the well known festivals in India and several international festivals including the Roskilde Festival in Denmark, OzAsia Festival in Australia and Traumzeit Festival in Germany.
Ambi Subramaniam has been trained by his father and guru Dr. L. Subramaniam since he was three years old and gave his first stage performance at the age of seven. He has received recognitions including the Ritz Icon of the Year Award, the Rotary Youth Award, two Global Indian Music Awards and was named amongst GQ ( Gentlemen’s Quarterly)’s 25 Most Influential Young Indians in 2021. Along with his sister Bindu, Ambi runs SaPa, which teaches music to over 30,000 children.
Purbayan and Ambi will be accompanied by Tanay Rege on Tabla and Phalgun Parupalli on Mirdangam.
There are three categories of tickets available GOLD for QR 150, SILVER for QR 100 and BRONZE for QR 50.
