Indian Expat Crushes Guinness World Record for Fastest Crossing of Qatar on Foot (Male)!

Ashutosh Prakash, a licensed Aircraft Technician living in Qatar, has etched his name in the record books! Guinness World Records has confirmed that Prakash is the official record holder for the “Fastest crossing of Qatar on foot by a male.” He completed the incredible journey in just 1 day, 6 hours, and 31 minutes on March 1, 2024.

This accomplishment is the culmination of years of dedication and training for Prakash. His route crossed the diverse Qatari landscape, taking him from bustling city centers to remote desert areas. The challenge wasn’t just about distance; Prakash battled extreme weather conditions, sleep deprivation, and immense physical exhaustion.

“The hardest moments were when the cold set in and the wind felt like a knife,” Prakash recalled in an interview. “But the support from the community kept me going.”

This record-breaking feat adds to Prakash’s list of impressive achievements. Previously, he completed an ultramarathon run stretching an incredible 739.5 kilometers from Dubai to Qatar, which took 11 days and 17 hours.
