Qatar Airways has once again cemented its position as a leader in the aviation industry, clinching the coveted title of World’s Best Airline 2024 at the prestigious SKYTRAX World Airline Awards. This remarkable achievement marks the eighth time Qatar Airways has received this honor in the award’s 25-year history.
The ceremony, held in London on June 24th, 2024, saw Qatar Airways reclaim its championship status from Singapore Airlines (second place) and Emirates (third place). Beyond the top honor, Qatar Airways secured several additional accolades:
- Best Airline in the Middle East (12th time)
- World’s Best Business Class (11th time)
- World’s Best Business Class Lounge (6th time)
This achievement goes even further, etching Qatar Airways’ name in SKYTRAX history. They become the first airline group to win Best Airline, Best Airport (Hamad International Airport), and Best Airport for Shopping (Qatar Duty Free) in the same year.
Engineer Badr Mohammed Al Meer, Group Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways, expressed his gratitude and pride towards SKYTRAX for recognizing the airline’s dedication to exceptional service and innovation.
These prestigious rankings stem from a comprehensive online customer survey conducted between September 2023 and May 2024. Over 350 airlines were evaluated by customers from more than 100 countries, highlighting the truly global scale of this recognition.
